Gulf Coast partnered with The Rotary Club of Panama City Beach and Saint Dominic
Catholic Church again on Tuesday, August 18, to provide food to over 345 families
in Bay County.
“The Rotary Club of Panama City Beach was thrilled to be a part of such a well-organized food distribution,” said Lorraine Odom, President of the Rotary Club of Panama City Beach. “Our motto is ‘Service Above Self’, and I couldn’t think of a better example of this than our community of volunteers helping the community at large, as we were able to do at this event.”

City Beach, and Saint Dominic Catholic Church, was held in the parking lot of
the recently closed Panama City Mall. Between these three organizations, and volunteers
from 11 other local businesses and non-profits, over 35 individuals came together
to distribute 20,000 pounds of food to Bay County people in need. Additionally,
Gotta-Go Portable Toilets donated a portable toilet for event volunteers.
“The St. Dominic Catholic Church Parish Leadership Team, led by our Pastor, Fr. Michael Nixon, was honored to serve alongside CareerSource Gulf Coast (and additional organizations and volunteers) to feed our brothers and sisters in most need in the Panama City area,” said Saint Dominic Parish Manager Mark Gutcher.
